Digital Media Committee Meetings
The Digital Media Committee hosts an informal discussion via digital-media@mdarc.org.
The committee supports the club operations and accounts:
groups.io (about-us/communicating-with-you) working with the editor of the Carrier newsletter
mdarc and pacificon websites via sites.google.com
google accounts (workspace including gmail, voice, Docs, Sheets, Forms, AppsScript, AppSheet.com by Google, etc.)
Constant Contact used for classes, holiday events, pacificon.org, some Memberships with the Membership Portal, etc.
payment systems. We work with the Treasurer, Membership Chair and Pacificon Registration.
product experience and UX - user experience (images) are concerns our small team wishes we had more time to address for the club.
If you have any interest in helping with the website, do what we all did, play around by going to sites.google.com and create an experimental site. This shows you what features and limitations we are working with for our sites.google.com website. We are pushing the limits of sites.google.com. Inserting an Embed element allows much of the additional flexibility we need but not all.
The membership portal was developed and is supported by the Membership chair.
We meet on the fourth Friday of most months at 6:00 PM in Walnut Creek at Cafe La Scala, 1655 N Main St. All members are welcome to attend.
