Club Activities
The Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club proudly hosts and participates in numerous group and community activities.
Public Service
It's that exciting time of year when many ham radio operators from the Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club become involved in doing radio team communications for various Public Service events that occur nearby. The events include long distance bike rides, bike races, horse trail rides, running races, walkathons, a March for Babies, Alcatraz swims, a half marathon, a triathlon, and the Pleasant Hill 4th of July parade.
Classes & Testing
HAM Radio classes are available throughout the year. For more information on class schedules please contact hamradioclass@mdarc.org.
The MDARC Volunteer Examiners hold exam sessions prior to each club meeting. Sessions begin at 6:00 PM. Please arrive no later than 7:00 PM to be seated for your exam.
Field Day
MDARC knows how to do Field Day. The reality is, Field day is not 24 hours - but 48 hours, plus. You have all the setup and tear down, and then we stuff Field Day somewhere in the middle.
